Aragua over Magallanes 11-6
Jose Altuve was 3-5 with an RBI double and a run scored for Magallanes. David Martinez got the start for Magallanes, going four innings with seven hits, five runs (three earned), one walk, four strikeouts and gave up a home run (to Lastings Milledge); he was charged with the loss.
No games in the Dominican or Puerto Rican leagues on Thursday.
AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE
Sydney over Brisbane 4-3 in 15 innings
This was the continuation of the suspended game I noted yesterday. It took all 15 innings but Brandon Barnes finally got his first hit in the Australian league, a single. He was 1-6 with a HBP and a caught stealing.
Brisbane over Sydney 6-4
After breaking the ice in the first game, Brandon Barnes went 2-4 with a double, a strikeout and scored a run for Sydney in the second game.
