DOMINICAN LEAGUE PLAYOFFS
Gigantes over Escogido 4-3
Diory Hernandez went 1 for 2 with a solo home run and a strikeout, and Jimmy Paredes came in to pinch hit and went 0 for 1 with a strikeout for Gigantes. Rhiner Cruz pitched a third of an inning for the Gigantes with a hit and a strikeout. Magallanes is now 3-4 in the playoffs.
VENEZUELAN LEAGUE PLAYOFFS
Magallanes over Zulia 6-1
Arcenio Leon pitched one inning for Zulia, stranding three inherited runners in a bases loaded situation. Zulia has yet to win in the playoffs.
Caribes over Aragua 16-8
Sergio Perez had an off night in his start for Aragua, giving up eight hits, five runs and four strikeouts, and was charged with the loss. Aragua is now 3-3 in the round robin playoffs.
