WEDNESDAY'S RESULTS

Las Vegas over Oklahoma City 2-1
Dallas Keuchel pitched another gem, but it was all for nothing. A Fernando Martinez solo home run represented the only run scored in this game through the first eight innings. Unfortunately, you  have to play that ninth inning whether you want to or not. An error on a pickoff attempt led to an unearned run and blown save for Xavier Cedeno as Las Vegas tied it up in the top of the ninth. Jose Valdez gave up one run in the 10th and was charged with the loss. The Redhawks were held to three hits.

Lexington - Off Day

Corpus Christi - Off Day

Bakersfield over Lancaster 7-4
Lancaster had the lead 4-3 going in to the seventh inning but David Martinez got roughed up in that frame and Jose Trinidad and Jorge de Leon weren't able to bail him out as four runs came across. George Springer had a great night, going 3x4 with a solo home run and two RBI's. All four players at the top of the order were hitting well -- Ben Orloff (2x4, BB), Rafy Valenzuela (2x4, 2B), Springer and Telvin Nash (2x5, 2B, RBI).

GAME OF THE DAY
No win - no game of the day

PITCHER OF THE DAY
Dallas pitched 7.1 innings giving up four hits, no runs and no walks with five strikeouts. He lowered his ERA from 2.18 to 1.85. He really is having a phenomenal start to his season.

PLAYER OF THE DAY
George Springer earned the honors.
