Astros History

There are no birthdays today, but today is still a significant day in Astros history.  On this date in 2000, the Astros combined for 6 home runs in route to a 15-7 victory over the Cardinals at ,then, Enron Field.

Lance Berkman and Bill Spiers both had a pair of long balls. Jeff Bagwell and  Richard Hidalgo hit one apiece.  Bill Spiers' shot in the 7th inning was a grand slam.

That grand slam got me thinking, and along the same timeline, tomorrow is the day Craig Biggio announced his retirement in 2007 and hit a 7th inning grand slam of his own.
