VENEZUELAN WINTER LEAGUE

I saw this tweet from Gabriel Garcia before I saw the Zulia-Caracas boxscore. Even with my limited Spanish comprehension, I figured this one out.

Wow Dios mio zulia le voltio el juego a leones . No se acaba el juego hasta el ultimo out

Zulia over Caracas 8-5
Zulia came back from a 5-1 deficit to score seven runs in the top of the ninth to win ... all runs scoring on two outs. As Garcia tweeted, it is not over until the final out. The beneficiary of this scoring largesse was Astros RHP Arcenio Leon who was awarded the win in relief. He pitched the eighth inning and allowed one hit, no runs and one walk. For Caracas, Brandon Barnes was 0-for-3 with a strikeout and an RBI sac fly.

Caribes over Aragua 11-5
2B Jose Martinez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run for Aragua.
