Spring Training Update

A two-run, two-out single in the ninth by Jose Martinez brought the Astros within one run on Friday, but it wasn't quite enough as the Pirates prevailed. Brad Peacock had a solid start, allowing one run on four hits and a walk with four strikeouts over five innings. Kevin Chapman, Paul Clemens and C.J. (don't call me Chuckie) Fick provided scoreless relief, but Chia-Jen Lo allowed two runs on three hits in the seventh. They were the first runs allowed by Lo this spring. The offense tried to make things happen by stealing three bags (Jason Castro, Tyler Greene and Justin Maxwell), but collecting only three hits and three walks isn't exactly a winning strategy.
