Both of the Astros reps got into the game, although the second one barely made it. DeShields played the first five innings and didn't get a hit, but did advance the runner with a sac bunt in his final at-bat. One particular play answered my question regarding how his transition to the outfield has been going. If the bad route he took on one fly ball is any indication, the transition is still a work in progress. With two outs in the top of the ninth and the home team leading, Jonas Dufek was brought in for the final out. The first batter he faced doubled, but IMHO the rightfielder should have caught the ball. The next batter promptly popped out in foul territory. The game was over and Dufek's night was done after six pitches (four for strikes).
