Astros Minor League Player and Pitchers of the Week: Week 17

It's time to look back at Week 17 and acknowledge some winning performances for the week commencing Sunday, July 20th and continuing through Saturday, July 26th. Since I am supposedly on vacation, this is going to be extremely short this week ... no list of nominees, no runners-up, just winners!

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: TRI-CITY SS MOTT HYDE

Hyde, the 2014 26th round draft pick out of the Georgia Institute of Technology hit .417/.483/.667 for the week with four doubles, one triple, six RBI and eight runs scored. He walked three times and struck out seven.

STARTING/TANDEM PITCHER OF THE WEEK: GREENEVILLE RHP AGAPITO BARRIOS

Barrios, a 20-year old Panamanian in his fourth season with the Astros system, pitched in two games last week for a total of nine innings and collected one win with a 0.00 ERA and a 0.778 WHIP. He allowed six hits and walked one batter while striking out eight.

RELIEF PITCHER OF THE WEEK: TRI-CITY LHP BRYAN RADZIEWSKI

Radziewski was the ninth round pick in 2014 out of the University of Miami. He pitched in two games out of the bullpen last week for a total of four innings. He allowed one hit and one walk while striking out nine for a 0.00 ERA and a 0.500 WHIP. He held batters to a 0.71 batting average.
