LANCASTER (CALIFORNIA LEAGUE)

Tied for second place with Inland Empire

As I predicted in my season preview, the Lancaster pitching staff has had its early struggles. But I'm also predicting that we will start to see a lot of improvements as these pitchers adjust to the league and to the conditions.

None of the Lancaster staff have the innings/numbers to qualify as league leaders in ERA and WHIP, but RHP Edison Frias comes close with his 1.091 WHIP as does RHP Tyler Brunnemann with his 0.71 WHIP. RHP Troy Scribner and LHP Brian Holmes are among the top 10 in the league in strikeouts.
