PUERTO RICAN LEAGUE PLAYOFFS

Mayaguez over Ponce 4-1
*Robinson Cancel was 0 for 3 with a walk and two strikeouts for Ponce.  Ponce's loss eliminated them in the playoffs.  Mayaguez will go on to play Caguas.  *Ryan Rowland-Smith, who had been playing for Ponce, tweeted early this morning that he got the call to go play in the Dominican so that's where he's headed.

VENEZUELAN LEAGUE PLAYOFFS

Caribes over La Guaira 7-4 in 10 innings
Sergio Escalona pitched one inning with a strikeout for La Guaira.  La Guaira is 5-4 in the round robin playoffs.

MEXICAN PACIFIC LEAGUE PLAYOFFS

Guasave over Culiacan 4-1
Brad Snyder was 0 for 4 with a strikeout for Guasave.  Guasave now leads the best of seven series 2-0.

DOMINICAN LEAGUE PLAYOFFS

Gigantes over Aguilas 6-4
Jimmy Paredes was back in the line-up for the Gigantes at left field as he went 1 for 4 with an RBI and two strikeouts.  Erick Abreu pitched 2.2 innings for the Gigantes with five hits, two runs, two walks, three strikeouts and a home run, and Rhiner Cruz pitched one inning with a strikeout.  The Gigantes are 6-7 in the playoffs.

AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE

Adelaide over Sydney 6-1
Brandon Barnes was 0 for 4 with a GIDP for Sydney.
