Brown spent a total of 14 seasons in the major leagues. His 1960 season in Baltimore, when he went 12-5 in 30 games (20 starts) with a 3.06 ERA and a 1.113 WHIP, was probably his best year.

Also, a very happy birthday to Rachel Frey, former "MLB.com Real Time Correspondent covering the Houston Astros" and just genuinely nice person and friend of the blog.
