Beat the Streak, May 6

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. For the first time this season, no one will enter a day with an active streak.

I got a pair of doubles from Ronald Torreyes yesterday, but Brett Phillips went 0-4 in Quad Cities, so there went my brief streak. Baseball Mom, who had been leading, also went with Phillips.

Rip Noblin, who recently established the new high-water mark for the season, also had half of a double-down working. Andy Simunic was 2-3, but Gregorio Petit went 0-3 yesterday afternoon.

Daniel Nelson got 0-fers from Tony Kemp and Andrew Aplin, while Jayne saw Roberto Peña's 3-game streak of 2 hits come to a close.

Today, I'm rolling with Jon Singleton again.

Today's Games

OKC vs. Memphis, 7:05
Corpus Christi vs. San Antonio, 7:10
Lancaster @ Lake Elsinore, 8:05
Quad Cities vs. Cedar Rapids, 11:00 A.M.

Current Active Streaks

There are none.

Season's Best Streak

Rip Noblin, 8

  1. OK, I'm going to go back to the JetHawks well and pick Tony Kemp and Carlos Correa for a double-down (even though I said I wasn't going to do double-downs anymore).

  3. Wow, lot's of hitting already for Quad City, but I'm too late for that.

    I'll take Torreyes and Stassi.
