Keeping up with all the Astros offseason transactions ...

  1. Seems like a lot of cuts. I guess Luhnow and company know best. I wish those young men the best. Never know who will pick them up for another shot.

    1. I just posted an update with more information on the players. There are a few guys that I wouldn't be surprised to see show up with another team.

  2. Elieser Hernandez being picked in Rule 5 draft is terrible. I liked him when I saw him on the back fields at Kissimmee. Wish we couldve kept that young man. Great arm.

    1. We may still get him back. I don't know if he'll be able to stick for the full season, but we'll see.

  3. Sebastian Kessay was apparently released as well. Might be a few others, but your blog is by far the best way to keep tabs on the farm system!

    1. Thanks! Kessay was released in August prior to the end of the minor league season and it was reported in the August roster moves/transactions post. These are only from the end of the minor league season forward. The list probably isn't complete because MiLB misses a few guys every year, but Dustin and I try to pull info from as many different sources as possible to keep it as up to date as possible. Thank you for reading and thanks for your nice words!

  4. Are the Astros going to have two DSL Teams this year? MLB Article on 2018 Staffs only lists one manager for DSL.
