Let's play two in the Quad Cities!

New Orleans 9, Round Rock 2

W- Zac Gallen (3-0)
L- Cy Sneed (0-3)

RR home runs: Drew Ferguson (2, solo in 2nd), Nick Tanielu (2, solo in 5th)

The Express dropped the rubber game of this five-game set as they were held to a measly two hits on Sunday. Giving up four home runs certainly hurts the cause, as well.

Cy Sneed went five innings and allowed five runs on seven hits (two two-run homers), walked one, and struck out three. Forrest Whitley was the first man out of the Round Rock bullpen and he went three innings, allowing four runs on four hits (solo and three-run homers), walking one, and striking out five. Tanner Duncan worked around a hit to throw a scoreless 9th, striking out one.

Drew Ferguson homered to start the 2nd inning and Nick Tanielu launched a solo homer in the 5th. Yep, that's it. That was the Round Rock offense on Sunday.

Round Rock will now hit the road for their longest roadtrip of the year. Their first stop: Oklahoma City for four with the Dodgers. Akeem Bostick will start game one at 7:05.

Tulsa 5, Corpus Christi 0

W- Dustin May (2-1)
L- Brett Adcock (0-4)

CC home runs: None.

The Raspas had a rough Sunday, to say the least. Their pitchers also combined to throw five wild pitches, hit two batters, and one of them also committed an error. Meanwhile, the offense was held off the scoreboard.

Lorenzo Quintana went 2-4 with a double, while Josh Rojas singled and stole a base (8).

Brett Adcock has also had a tough start to his 2019, but he turned in his best effort of the season in a losing effort. He went 5.1 innings and allowed three runs (one inherited runner charged to him) on two hits (solo homer), walked two, and struck out five. Carlos Sanabria was the first man out of the Corpus bullpen and he allowed a hit, walked one, and struck out one in 1.2 innings. Colin McKee got the last two innings and he allowed two runs (one earned), a hit, walked two, and struck out one.

Brandon Bailey will get the start in the series finale. First pitch is at 6:15.

Down East 4, Fayetteville 2

W- Peter Fairbanks (1-0)

The Woodpeckers scored a run in the 8th to tie the game... only to see the Wood Ducks regain the lead with two in the bottom of the 8th.

J.P. France allowed a hit, walked three, and struck out six over 4.1 scoreless innings. Hunter Martin tagged in for 2.1 innings and allowed two runs on three hits, walked three, and struck out two. Leovanny Rodríguez came on for 1.1 innings and allowed two runs on two hits, walked one, and struck out one.

The Banditos got a couple of fine performances on the mound and they used a five-run 5th to bust this game open.

Luis Garcia allowed just one run on two hits and struck out seven in five innings and Jojanse Torres walked one over the final two innings.

Jeremy Peña went 2-3 and scored the River Bandits' first run in game one on an error in the 4th inning, and then the fun began in the 5th.

Ross Adolph ripped an RBI double and came around to score on Marty Costes' single. Peña then poked a single through the infield to score two, and he scored the final run of game one on a single from Scott Schreiber.

Game 2: Clinton 3, Quad Cities 1

L- Brett Daniels (0-2)
S- Humberto Mejía (1)
