Astros vs. Rangers in the upper levels of the minors.

Round Rock 11, Nashville 5

W- Kent Emanuel (3-1)

RR home runs: Garrett Stubbs (4, 2-run in 3rd), A.J. Reed (5, 2-run in 4th), Alex De Goti (8, solo in 6th), Kyle Tucker (15, solo in 6th)

The E-Train busted loose for five runs in the 4th and clubbed four homers on their way to the win.

Cionel Pérez pitched 4.1 innings and allowed three runs (two earned, one inherited runner charged to him) on four hits, walked two, and struck out four. Kent Emanuel was the first man out of the Round Rock bullpen and he allowed two runs on five hits (solo homer) and struck out five in 3.2 innings of work. Reymin Guduan worked around a hit and a walk to throw a scoreless 9th, striking out one.

Garrett Stubbs opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the 3rd inning. Drew Ferguson got plunked with one out in the 5th and one batter later, A.J. Reed whacked a two-run homer. Taylor Jones followed with a double and he came around to score on Nick Tanielu's single. Stubbs and Kyle Tucker walked to load the bases and then Myles Straw and Yordan Alvarez drew walks to bring in a couple of more runs. Alex De Goti and Tucker led off the 6th with homers and they got two more on an RBI single from Reed, who scored on Jones' double. Jones finished 3-5 on the night and all three of his hits were doubles. Tanielu and Reed had two hits apiece.

Rogelio Armenteros takes on Phillips Valdez in game two of this series. First pitch is at 6:35.

Frisco 10, Corpus Christi 9 (10 innings)

CC home runs: Abraham Toro (9, 3-run in 5th), Granden Goetzman (10, 2-run in 8th)

The Blue Ghosts fought back to tie the game on a couple of occasions, including the 9th... but in the end, the Roughriders nipped them with a run in the first extra frame.

Osvaldo Duarte singled to lead off the 3rd and he scored Corpus Christi's first run of the evening on a wild pitch. Seth Beer ripped an RBI ground-rule double in the 4th inning. Abraham Toro whacked a three-run homer in the 5th to tie the game at 5. Frisco regained the lead with three runs in the 7th, but Granden Goetzman launched a two-run homer in the 8th to get Corpus back to within one. The Roughriders got one run in the top of the 9th to make it a 9-7 game, but the Blue Ghosts forced extras thanks to a pair of RBI singles from Toro and Beer. Unfortunately, they couldn't push across the tying run in the 10th. Beer finished 4-5 on the evening. Toro went 3-5, drove in four, and pushed his season OPS over the 1.000 mark. Josh Rojas went 2-4 with a double and scored twice.

J.B. Bukauskas pitched 4.2 innings and allowed five runs on six hits (solo homer), walked four, and struck out five. Miguel Figueroa pitched two innings and had an inherited runner charged to him when Carlos Sanabria allowed a three-run home run to Christian Lopes in the 7th. Figueroa, a 24th-round pick from last year's draft, also allowed a hit, walked one, and struck out one. Sanabria and Jonathan Bermúdez pitched 1.2 innings apiece. Sanabria allowed three runs (one inherited runner charged to him) on three hits and walked two while Bermúdez allowed the go-ahead run on a double in the 10th, walked two, and struck out four.

Cristian Javier will start the series finale and he'll face Tyler Phillips at 6:15.

Fayetteville 9, Lynchburg 3

W- Leovanny Rodríguez (4-2)
L- Jean Carlos Mejía (2-1)

Fayetteville home runs: Colton Shaver (4, solo in 5th), Scott Schreiber (1, 4 season; 2-run in 8th)

Can't lose in walk-off fashion if you win.

Yohan Ramirez pitched four innings and allowed three runs on four hits, walked three, and struck out four. Leovanny Rodríguez and Willy Collado shut it down with five scoreless innings of relief. Leovanny allowed two hits, walked two, and struck out two in three innings and Collado allowed a hit and walked one over the final two innings.

Enmanuel Valdez opened the scoring with an RBI single in the 2nd inning. Michael Papierski walked to lead off the 3rd, advanced to third on an Alfredo Angarita single, and scored on Jacob Meyers' groundout. Angarita, who made it to second on the throw from the outfield, scored on a single from Jonathan Arauz. Valdez whacked a two-run triple in the 4th and scored on Papierski's sac fly. Colton Shaver clubbed a solo homer with two outs in the 5th and Scott Schreiber connected for his first Carolina League home run in the 8th, a two-run homer that brought in the final runs of the day. Valdez went 3-4 on the night with a stolen base and scored three runs. Jake Adams went 2-4 with a stolen base and scored twice.

Shawn Dubin takes on Adam Scott in game three of this series. First pitch is at 3:00 Eastern.

Wisconsin 9, Quad Cities 4

W- Adam Hill (5-3)
L- Cody Deason (3-2)

QC home runs: None.

Cody Deason tightroped out of trouble early, but the Timber Rattlers eventually got to him.

Deason pitched 4.1 innings and allowed five runs (two inherited runners charged to him) on five hits, walked four, and struck out three. Riley Cabral and Joey Gonzalez threw 2.1 innings apiece out of the bullpen. Cabral was first and he allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits, walked one, and struck out four. Gonzalez allowed one hit, which was a solo homer, and struck out three.

César Salazar opened the scoring with a sac fly in the 1st. This was Quad Cities' only scoring play until the 8th, when they scored three runs on an RBI single from Jeremy Peña and a two-run double from Salazar. Peña went 3-4 on the night.

Luis Garcia takes the mound in game three of this series. He'll take on Logan Gillaspie at 1:15.
