Round Rock 10, Oklahoma City 4 in 10 innings

The Express broke a 4-4 tie in emphatic fashion in the first extra frame to sweep an abbreviated series in OKC that saw two games get rained out; one of them will be made up later in the season.
Cionel Pérez struggled in his 2.1 innings as he allowed three runs (one inherited runner charged to him) on six hits, walked three, and struck out one. Fortunately, the bullpen picked him up and shackled the Dodgers. Kent Emanuel was the first man out of the Round Rock bullpen and he allowed a run on two hits, walked two, and struck out two in 1.2 innings; he allowed one inherited runner from a bases-loaded situation to score. Corbin Martin followed with 4.1 scoreless and he allowed a triple, walked two, and struck out six. Ralph Garza Jr. walked two and struck out two over 1.2 scoreless to get the win.
Yordan Alvarez put the Express on the board by ripping an RBI double in the 4th; he came around to score on a single from Kyle Tucker. Little Tuck launched a two-run homer in the 7th that tied the game at 4. The real fun started in the 10th.
Garrett Stubbs started the top of the 10th in scoring position and Alex De Goti led things off by drawing a walk. Stubbs scored the go-ahead run on a single from Myles Straw and then Jack Mayfield ripped an RBI ground-rule double to bring in De Goti. Alvarez got a free pass to load the bases. Taylor Jones struck out, but Tucker smacked a bases-clearing double to blow this game open. He scored the final run of the evening on Nick Tanielu's single.
Alvarez (2 2B, RBI, 2 R) and Tucker (2B, 2-R HR, 6 RBI) both finished with three hits apiece, while Straw (3B, RBI, 2 R) and Drew Ferguson had two hits apiece.
The San Antonio Missions' move up to Triple-A gives the PCL another Texas-based team. Instead of Padres AA players, the Express will now have to contend with players from the Brewers organization. Rogelio Armenteros will start game one and he'll take on Thomas Jankins at 7:05.
Northwest Arkansas 2, Corpus Christi 1

Both teams scored in one inning; sadly, the Naturals scored more in the 1st inning. It's also kind of tough to win when you only manage to muster up two hits in a game.
Both Hooks hits came in the 7th. Abraham Toro hit a one-out single, advanced to second on a wild pitch, and scored the Hooks' lone run on their hit, a Josh Rojas single.
José Hernández-Urquidy had a decent outing, but the lack of run support meant that he was forced to take the loss. He went five innings and allowed two runs on four hits, walked two, and struck out eight. Justin Ferrell struck out one in a 1-2-3 6th, and Gabriel Valdez allowed two hits and struck out one over two scoreless innings.
The Hooks and Naturals will wrap up their series at 7:05. Bryan Abreu will make his first start for Corpus Christi and he'll face Gerson Garabito.
Fayetteville 4, Lynchburg 2

Fayetteville home runs: Seth Beer (5, solo in 3rd)
The Woodpeckers jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the 1st inning and kept the Hillcats at bay as they earned the split.
Cristian Javier went 4.2 innings and allowed an unearned run on four hits, walked four, and struck out six. Leovanny Rodríguez got the final out of the 5th and proceeded to throw 2.1 innings in all; he allowed a run on two hits, walked two, and struck out three. José Bravo struck out three over two perfect innings to earn the save.
Seth Beer opened the scoring with an RBI single in the 1st inning. Two batters later, Colton Shaver extended the Woodpeckers' early lead with a two-run single. Beer led off the 3rd with a homer, his fifth of the season. He and Shaver both served as the Fayetteville offense in this game; they had two hits and two RBI on the evening.
Next up for Fayetteville... round two of the Lone Star Series in North Carolina. They'll look to exact some revenge on the Down East Wood Ducks after they were swept in the first series between the two clubs. Parker Mushinski will take on Noah Bremer at 7:00 Eastern.
Game 1 (resumption of Wednesday's game): Quad Cities 7, Lake County 2

The Banditos didn't let a suspension break the roll they were headed towards in Thursday's game.
Instead of R.J. Freure, Brett Conine came on for the River Bandits and he allowed just one hit and struck out seven over seven shutout innings. The Captains spoiled the shutout with two runs off Felipe Tejada in the 8th; Tejada allowed four hits, walked two, and struck out three in his two innings.
Alex McKenna scored the first run of the game on a balk in the 1st inning and then Jonathan Lacroix hit an RBI single. Those were the only two runs that were scored before play was suspended. When the game resumed, César Salazar (who was batting when play was halted) and Trey Dawson both hit RBI singles. McKenna hit an RBI single in the 4th inning, and in the 9th, Enmanuel Valdez ripped an RBI double and McKenna scored the final run of this game on a Jeremy Peña sac fly.
Salazar finished 3-4 in this game. Valdez, Scott Schreiber, and David Hensley all finished with two hits, while McKenna drew a couple of walks and scored twice.

Quad Cities also gets the sweep!
There was only run in this game and it belonged to the River Bandits. David Hensley had two of Quad Cities' three hits in this game and he scored the one run on a Trey Dawson groundout in the 2nd inning. Jonathan Lacroix's double was the only extra-base hit of this game.
Nivaldo Rodríguez had the outing of his career as he threw a (seven-inning) complete game shutout, allowing two hits, walking one, and striking out a career-high nine. Nivaldo needed 86 pitches (62 strikes) and 106 minutes to pitch in this game.
The Banditos will head to Fort Wayne, Indiana for a weekend series with the TinCaps. First pitch is at 7:05 Eastern.
