I recently spent time in California, visiting the Lancaster JetHawks and Fresno Grizzlies teams. I conducted 10 interviews, including this short one with Jon Singleton. Come back often over the next couple of weeks for more player interviews, video and photographs ...

According to Fresno Manager Tony DeFrancesco, although Singleton has struggled against lefties to start the 2015 season, he is coming around in that regard. DeFrancesco was also quick to point out that Singleton's overall offensive numbers are among the best in the minor leagues in terms of RBI and home runs. He went on to say, "I'm pleased with his progress and his attitude. He's working hard. Hopefully he can help the big league team soon."

I spoke with Singleton about his terrific month of May (.315/.407/.717 with 10 home runs, including 3 grand slams, and 37 RBI so far in May), his work on hitting against lefties, and his mindset, among other things.

You can find more on virtually every player in the Astros minor league system in the 2015 Houston Farm System Handbook available on Amazon for download to your kindle, iPad, laptop, desktop or smart phone.
