Originally signed by the Rockies as a NDFA out of the Dominican Republic in 2005, the Astros acquired Aneury from Tampa Bay in the Rule 5 draft in 2010. He pitched in 43 games for the Astros in 2011, with 8 starts and 85.1 innings pitched. He had a 5.80 ERA and a 1.438 WHIP as a starter and a 4.80 ERA and a 1.267 WHIP as a reliever. He is currently pitching for the Toros del Este team in the Dominican Republic and as of 12/12, he was 2-0 in seven games (six starts) with a 2.93 ERA and a 0.904 WHIP. He has 26 strikeouts in 27.2 innings.
