Roster Moves - 12/8

RHP Rhiner Cruz and SS Marwin Gonzalez were placed on the Astros 40-Man Roster.  The roster now stands at 40.

The Astros picked RHP Rhiner Cruz in the major league portion of the Rule 5 draft.  Here are his stats from the MiLB page.  One initial observation - weird splits on GO/AO.

In the AAA phase of the Rule 5 draft, the Astros picked RHP Marco Duarte.  Here are his stats from MiLB.  And, apparently, according to MLB Trade rumors (with a h/t to Bryan Trostel), the Astros promptly traded him to the Red Sox for their pick from the Cubs roster SS Marwin Gonzalez.  Here are HIS stats.
