No future Astros, only former Astros with birthdays today ~
RHP Jim "Bulldog" Bouton (73)
Obtained by Houston in a trade with the Seattle Pilots in August 1969, Bouton pitched part of that season and the 1970 season for Houston. He was 4-8 with a 5.02 ERA and a 1.548 WHIP for Houston. His best season was in 1964 for the Yankees when he started 37 games, going 18-13 with a 3.02 ERA and a 1.058 WHIP during the regular season and 2-0 with a 1.56 ERA and a 1.154 WHIP in the World Series. Bouton was probably best known for his memoir "Ball Four," a warts and all insider look at baseball.
RHP Jim Daugherty (44)
Drafted by Houston in the 26th round in 1990, Daugherty pitched in 68 games for Houston in 1995 and 1996, going 8-6 with a 5.58 ERA and a 1.562 WHIP.
