RF Kevin Bass (53)
Originally drafted by Milwaukee in the second round in 1977, Bass came to Houston in September of 1982 along with LHP Frank DiPino and LHP Mike Madden in a trade for RHP Don Sutton. He played in ten seasons for Houston from 1982 through 1989 and again in 1992 and 1993, hitting .278/.330/.423. His best season was his 1986 All Star season when he hit .311/.357/.486 with 33 doubles, five triples and 20 home runs, including a 20-game hitting streak. A switch-hitter, Bass had almost identical splits hitting lefty/righty for his career. In 1986, he hit over .300 from both sides of the plate.
