I would personally like to celebrate the fact that the Philadelphia Phillies released one Larry Eugene Andersen on this date in 1986. Three days later, the Astros signed him. Four years and 106 days later, Andersen was traded to the Boston Red Sox for Jeff Bagwell. Thank you Philadelphia!
