ARIZONA FALL LEAGUE
Salt River over Mesa 5-4
1B Jon Singleton was 1-for-5 with no strikeouts and is now hitting .279. DH George Springer went 1-for-two with a double and a walk and is now hitting .304. He scored once in the fifth after a lead-off double and again in the ninth after reaching on a hit by pitch. Bobby Borchering is still struggling at the plate. He was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts and is hitting only .120.
Today's Game - Mesa (3-9) at Phoenix (5-5) at 2:35 CST.
VENEZUELAN WINTER LEAGUE
Magallanes over La Guaira 8-2
Sergio Perez is having quite an off-season. In three starts for Magallanes, he is 3-0 with a 1.13 ERA and a 0.813 WHIP. On Monday, he allowed one run on four hits and a walk with four strikeouts over six innings. The one run allowed was on a solo home run.
All other winter league teams had the day off.
