VENEZUELAN WINTER LEAGUE
Lara over Zulia 8-4
RHP Arcenio Leon pitched one inning for Zulia, allowing one run on one hit and a walk with one strikeout.
Caracas over Aragua 7-4
Caracas got their first win of the season with a lot of help from CF Brandon Barnes who went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run and three walks. He also scored twice and recorded an outfield assist. 2B Jose Martinez went 1-for-4 for Aragua.
DOMINICAN WINTER LEAGUE
Aguilas over Gigantes 9-5
SS Jonathan Villar was 1-for-3 with a strikeout and a stolen base for Aguilas. RHP Erick Abreu pitched two innings for the Gigantes, allowing one run (a solo home run) on two hits with no walks and one strikeout.
Estrellas over Toros 2-1
RHP Aneury Rodriguez pitched four shutout innings for the Toros and allowed three hits and one walk with two strikeouts.
MEXICAN PACIFIC LEAGUE
Hermosillo over Mexicali 3-1
RHP Garrett Mock pitched two-thirds of an inning for Hermosillo and allowed no hits or runs, but walked two batters.
LIGA PARALELA
The Liga Paralela is more or less the Venezuelan minor league. Once a week or so, I'll check in and let you know how some of the Astros players are doing. With that said ~
C Ernesto Genoves - In two games, Genoves has gone 3-for-7 with a double, home run and three RBI. He is currently hitting .429/.556/.1000.
OF Jose Monzon - In three games, Monzon is hitting .273/.333/.727 with a triple and a home run.
RHP Enderson Franco - In three innings pitched, Franco has a 0.00 ERA and a 1.000 WHIP.
