No future Astros, only former Astros with birthdays today ~
OF Tom Wiedenbauer (53)
A seventh round pick by the Astros in 1976, Wiedenbauer played in four games for Houston in 1979. Those four games constituted his entire major league career and he made the most of them. In six at-bats, he had four hits, a double and two RBI. His career batting average was .667. Now that's a cup of coffee that you can live with.
RHP Craig McMurtry (53)
Originally drafted by Atlanta in the first round in 1980, McMurtry signed with Houston as a free agent in March of 1994. In 11 appearances for the Astros in 1995, he had a 7.84 ERA and a 2.323 WHIP. His rookie year in 1983 was arguably his best as he went 15-9 with a 3.08 ERA and a 1.300 WHIP in 36 games (35 starts) for Atlanta and came in second in Rookie of the Year voting to Darryl Strawberry.
