Spring Training Update

Watching the top of the eighth inning from Saturday's game made this minor league follower a very happy camper as Jose Martinez, Carlos Correa, Jon Singleton, Domingo Santana and Rene Garcia all figured in scoring the runs that would put the Astros on top. Lucas Harrell provided a solid four innings, despite a scare in which a shattered bat of death took aim at his head (he ducked). Edgar Gonzalez provided three scoreless innings of relief and was rewarded with the win. Trevor Crowe was 3-for-5 with a double and run scored and Rick Ankiel provided a solo shot in the fourth. Jake Elmore also flashed some good leather and swiped a bag.

Spring Training Game 21 Minor League Standouts: Carlos Correa (1-for-2, RBI single, SB, run) and Rene Garcia (1-for-1, 2 RBI single) provided 3/4 of the offense between them against the Nationals' A-Team. That was nice to see.
