Spring Training Update

After a solo home run from Thursday's hero 3B Brandon Laird brought the Astros to only one run down in the bottom of the ninth, C Rene Garcia singled and was replaced by pinch-runner Delino DeShields who took advantage of Cardinal mistakes to score the tying run. The offense for the Astros kept clicking along with a two-run home run from LF Chris Carter and a solo shot from CF Brandon Barnes to go with doubles from 3B Brett Wallace, SS Tyler Greene and Laird. PH-DH Jason Jaramillo and Garcia were both 2-for-3 in the game and George Springer had his first stolen base of the spring. Jose Veras, Josh Zeid, Rhiner Cruz and Josh Fields each contributed an inning of scoreless relief.
