RHP Aurelio Monteagudo (died November 10, 1990 at age 46)
Monteagudo was purchased by Houston from the Kansas City Athletics in May 1966 and pitched in 10 games for Houston that season with a 4.70 ERA and a 1.630 WHIP.
A belated Happy Birthday to fellow Astros blogger Tyler Stafford of Climbing Tal's Hill. Tyler truly has one of the best twitter handles out there - @JeffBlogwell. Reportedly, he is all of 21 years of age today. I wouldn't want to be 21 again, but I'd love to have the knees of a 21-year old.
