I had hoped to get the Quad Cities Season Preview up today, but it turns out that I actually do need more than four hours of sleep a night, so I'll try to have that up on Saturday. In the meantime, the tandems for Quad Cities were announced by Steve Batterson of the Quad Cities Times. They are anticipated to be:
Andrew Thurman and Chris Lee
Kent Emanuel and Jandel Gustave
Adrian Houser and Gonzalo Sanudo
Michael Feliz and Evan Grills
As anticipated, there were a few last minute changes to the Opening Day Rosters for the four teams. They were as follows:
OKLAHOMA CITY
LHP Patrick Urckfitz - Placed on the temporary inactive list
C Ryan McCurdy - Placed on the temporary inactive list
1B Erik Castro - Placed on the temporary inactive list
LHP Raul Valdes - Cleared waivers and is listed as a reserve on the roster
UT Andy Simunic - Sent to Extended Spring Training
CORPUS CHRISTI
OF Chris Epps - Placed on the 7-day DL
LHP T.J. Geith - Placed on the 7-day DL
LANCASTER
*RHP Michael Dimock - On the preliminary roster, but not the opening day roster
*RHP Tyson Perez - On the preliminary roster, but not the opening day roster
QUAD CITIES
*LHP Albert Minnis - On the preliminary roster, but not the opening day roster
*C Brett Booth - On the preliminary roster, but not the opening day roster
*No transaction showing on MiLB.com yet
I updated my Opening Day Roster post with this information and you can find it here.
Any idea why McCurdy, Castro, and Urckfitz were placed on the temporarily inactive list?
ReplyDeleteNope. Other than the fact they just have too many players and are trying not to cut anybody.
