LANCASTER
I hadn't seen this but suspected that 1B Brandon Merdith was on the DL because he hadn't been in the line-up lately. He went on the 7-day DL on 5/4.
Also, this hasn't been reported officially yet, but OF Marc Wik tweeted that he is on his way from Corpus Christi to Lancaster. UPDATE: It's now officially been reported.
QUAD CITIES
RHP Michael Feliz activated from the DL
Also, Edison Frias and Kevin Comer have been assigned to Extended Spring Training. I learned last year that doesn't always mean that they are being moved physically to Kissimmee, but it removes them from the active roster.
So what's the deal with Comer? Does he just stay hurt? Hasn't appeared to make much progress in two years.
ReplyDeleteComer has had two EXCELLENT appearances for Quad Cities since being activated. As I said in my note, being assigned to EST doesn't mean anything. It just means that he's not on the active roster. He will likely be activated in time to pitch again in the next few days.
