No future Astros with birthdays today, but three former Astros celebrate ~

Oberkfell played in 16 seasons in the majors for six different teams. A career .278 hitter, he played for Houston in 1990 and 1991 toward the end of his career and only managed a .214 batting average over 130 games for the Astros. In two World Series (1982 for St. Louis and 1989 for San Francisco) he hit .300 in 11 games. He is currently managing the Independent Lincoln Salt Dogs of the American Association.

In 2011, Cancel made seven plate appearances for the Astros and drew one walk.
