Happy Birthday - 5/7

No future Astros with birthdays today, but two former Astros celebrate the day ~

RHP Claude "Frenchy" Raymond (77)
First signed by Milwaukee in 1955, Raymond played for Houston from 1964 to 1967. In 154 games for the Colt .45's and Astros, he was 19-18 with a 2.98 ERA and a 1.127 WHIP. The one-time All Star for Houston was traded to Atlanta in June 1967 for LHP Wade Blasingame.  He would ultimately play for Montreal in 1969 through 1971 where (from Baseball-Reference):

"Claude Raymond [was] considered a baseball hero in Quebec as the first Québécois to play for the Montreal Expos. He was an Expos French-language color broadcaster from 1972 to 2001, and was the public address announcer for the 1996 Olympics baseball tournament in Atlanta."

RHP Manny Hernandez (53)
Signed out of the Dominican Republic in 1978 by Houston, Hernandez only pitched in 15 games (7 starts) for the Astros in 1986 and 1987, going 2-7 with a 4.56 ERA and a 1.520 WHIP. In 13 minor league seasons, he was 83-68 with a 3.93 ERA and a 1.310 WHIP.
