Astros Minor League Roster Moves/Transactions

Just a couple of Astros minor league moves over the last few days ~

OKLAHOMA CITY
6/28 - LHP Brett Oberholtzer recalled to Houston from Oklahoma City
6/28 - RHP Jake Buchanan optioned from Houston to Oklahoma City
6/26 - RHP Jose Veras called up to Houston from Oklahoma City
6/26 - RHP Kyle Farnsworth outrighted to Oklahoma City and subsequently declined the option and became a free agent

TRI-CITY
6/26 - IF Dayne Parker assigned from Greeneville to Tri-City

UPDATED TO ADD:

Baseball America is showing RHP John Gatlin, a non-drafted free agent out of the University of Mississippi, as having been signed (a move that Gatlin's Ole Miss teammate Tanner Mathis had already told us about). The interesting part of this signing is that Gatlin signed as a pitcher, but has not pitched since his junior college days.

Also, BA is reporting that RHP David Paulino and LHP Ambiorix de Leon have been placed on the 7-day DL; and RHP Brandon Culbreth (who is recovering from TJ surgery) and LHP Ben Smith (newly drafted in the 17th round in the 2014 draft) have both been placed on the 60-day DL.
