RHP Tom Edens (53)
Originally drafted by Kansas City in the 14th round in 1983, Edens was obtained in a trade with the Marlins in November 1992 and left for the Phillies in July of 1994. In between, he pitched in 77 games for Houston, going 5-2 with a 3.82 ERA and a 1.394 WHIP.
IF Julio Gotay (died July 4, 2008 at 69)
Gotay came to Houston in a June 1966 trade with the California Angels and played in 202 games for Houston at the major league level between 1966 and 1969, hitting .264/.305/.328.
MGR Bill Virdon (83)
Bill Virdon managed the Astros from 1975 to 1982, compiling a 544-522 record. Under his watch, the Astros won their first National League West division title in 1980.
