OF Robbie Grossman recalled to Houston (with Alex Presley to the DL)
RHP Nick Tropeano placed on the 7-day DL
TRI-CITY
RHP Kyle Weiland sent to Tri-City on rehab assignment
GREENEVILLE
3B Cesar Carrasco (obtained in the Alex Sogard trade) assigned to Greeneville
GCL
RHP Aaron West started rehab assignment
Also, Baseball America is reporting that OF Ravel Santana, obtained in the minor league phase of the December 2013 Rule 5 draft, has been released by the Astros. Once considered a top prospect, Santana never fully recovered from an extremely severe ankle injury in 2011.
