The RedHawks opened up the game with a bang as they scored 4 in the 1st. After the Chihuahuas answered with 3 in the 2nd, OKC responded by scoring 5 unanswered to take a 9-3 lead into the 9th.
Preston Tucker opened up the scoring with an RBI single in the 1st. One batter later, Matt Duffy followed with an RBI single. They would both score on a single from Domingo Santana. Andrew Aplin singled with 1 out in the 3rd, then stole his way to 3rd base (5 ,26 season). Domingo brought him home with a sac fly. In the 7th, Ronald Torreyes laid down a sac bunt, and the ensuing error allowed Max Stassi to score. Tucker then added a 2-run single. Stassi added an RBI single in the 8th. Everyone in the lineup had a hit; Tucker, Duffy, and Jonathan Villar had 2 hits apiece.
Alex White allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 9 over 6.2 innings. Jason Stoffel got the final out of the 7th. Ross Seaton made his first appearance for OKC since June 15 and allowed 2 runs on 5 hits and struck out 1 in 2 innings.
In game 3 of this series, Rudy Owens will be taking on our old friend Jason Lane, who was the DH last night. Although someone else might be starting for El Paso after the fact. First pitch is at 7:05.

The Hooks dropped the opener of the twinbill after the RockHounds got 3 in the 2nd off of Mark Appel.
Appel, who pitched all 7 innings, allowed 4 runs (3 earned) on 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7.
Jonathan Meyer's RBI single in the 5th accounted for the only Corpus run in game 1. Brandon Meredith hit a double and scored on the single from Meyer.
What did game 2 have in store for the Hooks?
Game 2: Corpus Christi 5, Midland 0
W- Jordan Jankowski (5-6)
L- Drew Granier (7-7)
CC home runs: Telvin Nash (21, 2-run in 3rd)
The Hooks only scored in 1 inning, but Jordan Jankowski rendered the Midland offense useless.
Jankowski allowed 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out a career-high 9 over 5 shutout innings. Mitch Lambson pitched the final 2 innings and allowed 2 hits while striking out 2.
All 5 Hooks runs came with 2 outs in the 3rd. After Teoscar Hernandez and Carlos Perdomo struck out, Tyler Heineman and Delino DeShields walked. Leo Heras opened up the scoring with an RBI single. Heras stole 2nd (17), and DeShields scored on a passed ball. Colin Moran added an RBI single, and Nash capped off the scoring with his 2-run homer. Heras finished 2-4.
In the series finale, Colton Cain will face Nate Long at 7:00.

The JetHawks were shut out and were foiled in their bid for a sweep.
Danry Vásquez and Ronnie Mitchell had 2 hits each, and they each hit a double. The JetHawks went 0-8 with RISP in this game.
Brian Holmes pitched 7 innings and allowed 4 runs on 9 hits (solo homer) and struck out 4. Gonzalo Sañudo pitched the final 2 innings and allowed a run on 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 1.
The JetHawks will now begin a weekend series in Inland Empire. In the opener, Evan Grills will take on Clint Sharp at 9:05.
Quad Cities 5, Beloit 2

The River Bandits were on the wrong end of a perfect game for 4 innings, but they eventually snapped out of the trance they were in and ended up taking the opener of this series.
A.J. Reed broke up the perfecto by leading off the 5th with a single. One batter later, J.D. Davis put the Banditos on the board and in the lead with his 8th homer of the year. In the 7th, the Bandits got a pair of RBI singles from Ramsay and Marc Wik, who both finished with 2 hits apiece. Ramsay provided some insurance with his 2nd homer of the year.
Michael Feliz allowed 2 runs (1 earned) on 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. Frederick Tiburcio tagged in for 2.2 innings and allowed 2 hits while striking out 4. Chris Cotton got the final 4 outs of the game, allowing 2 hits and striking out 2.
In the middle game of this series, Kevin Comer will face Kyle Finnegan at 7:00.
Vermont 4, Tri-City 2

The ValleyCats got swept in their first series after the All-Star break.
Fisher was involved in both ValleyCats runs. He hit into a force out that scored Ariel Ovando in the 3rd, homered in the 6th, and also stole a base (16). Jason Martin and Ovando had 2 hits apiece.
Randall Fant pitched 3.1 innings and allowed 3 runs on 6 hits and struck out 7. Francis Ramirez tagged in for 3.2 innings and allowed a run on 2 hits and struck out 5. Raul Rivera allowed a hit and struck out 1 over 2 innings.
The ValleyCats will now spend the weekend on Coney Island. They're taking on the Brooklyn Cyclones in a 3-game series. Austin Chrismon will start the opener, which will begin at 6.

The Appy Astros suffered a setback in their quest for the playoffs with this shutout loss.
Bryan Muniz went 2-3 with a double.
Reymin Guduan was the hard-luck loser in this one; he went 5 innings and allowed a run on 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 10. Elieser Hernandez allowed a hit and walked 1 in a scoreless 6th, and Jorge Perez allowed 2 hits and struck out 4 over 2 scoreless.
The middle game of this series is probably a top-10 name matchup this season. Brock Dykxhoorn will take on Hyrum Formo at 6:05.

The Kissimmee Stros got doubled up.
Jorge Martinez went 3-4 with an RBI double in the 7th. Joan Mauricio doubled to lead off the 8th and scored on a double play. Connor Goedert finished 2-4 with a run scored.
Justin Ferrell went 4 innings and allowed 2 runs on 5 hits (2-run homer), walked 1, and struck out 5. J.D. Osborne allowed a run on 2 hits in the 5th, and Junior Garcia allowed a run on 5 hits and struck out 2 over 3 innings.
The GCLstros are currently in a game against the Braves at Disney World.
DSL Astros Blue 6, DSL Dodgers 2

Blue home runs: Oliver Toribio (1, 2-run in 7th)
The Blue team had 3 2-run innings, which topped the Dodgers' 1 2-run inning.
In the 6th, they got 2 sac flies from Wander Franco and Bryan De La Cruz. Oliver Toribio hit his first homer in the 7th, and in the 9th, Cristopher Luciano hit a 2-run double.
Erasmo Pinales allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5 over 5 innings. Gabriel Valdez allowed a hit and walked 2 over 2 scoreless, and Lachlan Madden got the 6-out save, allowing a hit, walking 1, and striking out 1.
The Blue team is at the Indians' complex for 2 games, one of which was suspended.
DSL Rangers2 12, DSL Astros Orange 8

L- Adonis Peña (2-4)
Orange home runs: None.
The Orange team fell behind 8-0 after the 1st. They fought back, but that deficit was a bit too much to overcome.
Angel De Leon put the Orange team on the board with a 2-run double in the 4th. Hayden Timberlake added a 2-run triple in the 6th and scored on a wild pitch. Later in the inning, Wilson Amador scored on an error. Anardo Peralta drew a bases-loaded walk in the 7th, and Orlando Marquez scored on a double play in the 8th. Edgar Lorenzo finished 3-5 with 3 runs scored.
Adonis Peña allowed 11 runs (8 earned 2 inherited runners charged to him) on 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. Jose Ramos allowed a run on 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 1 in 3.1 innings, and Starlyn Taveras walked 1 and struck out 1 in a scoreless 9th.
In their penultimate game of the year, the Orange team is taking on the Phillies.
