CC home runs: Conrad Gregor (3, 16 season; 2-run in 2nd)
The wheels came off for Corpus in the 7th as Frisco put up 8 in the inning.
Conrad Gregor's 2-run homer opened up the scoring in the 2nd. They'd have to wait until the 9th to score again as Tony Kemp scored on a wild pitch and René Garcia smacked a 2-run ground-rule double.
Brady Rodgers cruised through 6 innings, but the Roughriders cracked him in the 7th. He went 6.2 innings and allowed 5 runs (1 inherited runner charged to him) on 8 hits (2-run homer) and struck out 7. Matt Heidenreich pitched 1.1 innings and allowed 3 runs, all on a 3-run homer, on 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 1. David Rollins allowed a hit and fanned 2 in a scoreless 9th.
In the series finale, Kyle Smith will take on Jerad Eickhoff at 7:10.

The JetHawks jumped out to a 7-2 lead and withstood a brief surge from the Mavericks. Everyone in the lineup had a hit.
James Ramsay scored the game's first run on an error in the 2nd. One batter later, Catfish Elkins ripped a 2-run double. Ramsay was caught stealing 2nd base in the 3rd inning, but Roberto Peña took advantage and dashed home. Ronnie Mitchell hit an RBI single in the 4th, and Mayfield and Phillips went deep in the 5th.
Brian Holmes pitched 4 innings and allowed 2 runs on 7 hits (solo homer), walked 2, and struck out 4. Jamaine Cotton allowed a hit in a scoreless 5th. The Mavericks ambushed Evan Grills with 3 in the 6th, but he recovered and stymied them the rest of the way. He allowed 4 hits and struck out 3 in 3 innings. Andrew Walter gave up 2 hits and struck out 2 in a scoreless 9th to close out the game.
The JetHawks welcome Inland Empire to The Hangar for the final series of the regular season. In the opener, which will begin at 8:30, Lance McCullers will take on Austin Wood.
Quad Cities and Clinton was postponed
A doubleheader is scheduled for this evening with the first game beginning at 5. In game 1, Adrian Houser will face Edwin Diaz, and Andrew Thurman takes on Eddie Campbell in game 2.

The ValleyCats walked off with the win in the first game of their final series of the season, and they won the Stedler Division outright in the process.
Jose Solano hit an RBI groundout in the 1st for the ValleyCats' first run. In the 5th, Alfredo Gonzalez crushed an RBI triple, and Solano added an RBI single to his ledger. Mott Hyde led off the 9th by reaching on an error. He then advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch and to 3rd on a bunt single from Jason Martin. Another error allowed Hyde to score the winning run. Alex Hernandez, Gonzalez, Solano, Nick Tanielu, and Jason Martin all had 2 hits.
Joe Musgrove allowed 3 runs on 8 hits and struck out 4 over 5 innings. Bryan Radziewski walked 2 and struck out 3 over 2 scoreless, and Derick Velazquez threw 2 scoreless, allowing 2 hits and striking out 2.
In game 2 of this series, Daniel Mengden gets the start. First pitch is at 6:00.

Sadly, with this loss, the Appy Astros were formally eliminated from playoff contention.
Hector Roa opened the proceedings with his 3-run blast in the 2nd inning. Alex Melendez ripped a 2-run double in the 7th, and then Greeneville rallied with 5 in the 8th to get to within 1, at 11-10. Jake Nottingham hit an RBI single, and then Randy Cesar smacked a 2-run double. Melendez and Jeffry Santos followed with RBI singles. Melendez finished 4-4 with 2 doubles, while Sean McMullen went 2-3 with a double and 3 runs scored.
Devonte German went 1.1 innings and allowed 3 runs on 6 hits and walked 2. Samil De Los Santos was the only Greeneville pitcher who emerged unscathed, as he allowed a hit, walked 1, and struck out 6 over 2.2 scoreless. Dean Deetz pitched 2 innings and allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, walked 1, and fanned 2. Josh James only got 2 outs in the 6th as he allowed 4 runs on 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 1. Juan Delis went 1.1 innings and allowed a solo homer to Jose Godoy in the 8th. That was the only hit he allowed, and he also struck out 1.
In the season finale, Harold Arauz will take on Steven Farinaro at 6.

The Kissimmee Stros closed out the 2014 season by walking off with a win in their final game.
Marlon Avea opened the scoring with a sac fly in the 4th, and in the 6th, Dex McCall hit an RBI single and Frankeny Fernandez added a sac fly. Jorge Martinez won the game with a sac fly in the bottom of the 12th. He finished 2-5 with 2 runs scored. McCall, Fernandez, and Luis Payano also had 2 hits.
Justin Ferrell opened with 4 scoreless, allowing 3 hits, walking 3, and striking out 7. Joselo Pinales allowed a 2-run homer to Jake Anderson in the 7th. He went 3 innings and walked 1 and struck out 2. Alejandro Solarte allowed a run on 2 hits, walked 4, and struck out 2 over 2 innings, and Kyle Gehrs walked 1 and struck out 2 over 3 scoreless.
