No future Astros with birthdays today, but two former Astros celebrate the day ~
LHP Sergio Escalona (30)
Escalona came from the Phillies in a January 2011 trade for 2B Albert Cartwright. The Venezuelan native made his mark for Houston in 2011, pitching in 49 games with a 2.93 ERA and a 1.265 WHIP.
1B Sid Bream (54)
A second round draft pick by the Dodgers in 1981, Bream signed with Houston as a free agent in January of 1994 and played in 46 games for Houston that year. Bream hit .344/.429/.426 in 70 plate appearances, .406 as a pinch hitter. His final game was July 27, 1994. With those stats for his final season, he definitely went out on a high note.
