Even though many of those performances were excellent, there were two that stood out for me. And since I'm tired and don't feel like making any more decisions in my life right now, I'm going to award co-winners for this week. So with no further ado, the winners are ...

The starting crew definitely didn't run out of gas to end the season. Honorable mentions go to some strikeout artists: Oklahoma City's Rudy Owens (9SO in 7.2IP); Corpus Christi's Mark Appel (14SO in 12.2IP) and Mike Hauschild (8SO in 4IP); Lancaster's Kyle Westwood (8SO in 6.1IP); Quad Cities' Kevin Comer (10SO in 6IP), Adrian Houser (8SO in 6IP), Blaine Sims (12SO in 12IP), and Chris Lee (9SO in 7.2IP); Greeneville's Harold Arauz (9SO in 8.2IP) and Brock Dykxhoorn (10K in 5IP and Appy League Pitcher of the Week); and Justin Ferrell in the GCL (7 SO in 4IP).
But, to me, there was one clear winner ~

My winner gets the nod because, despite missing almost the whole season, he came through in the clutch at the end. After making one start for Greeneville in June, he missed almost two months before making three rehab appearances with the GCL (in which he allowed only two hits, no walks, no runs and collected a save). After finally making it back to Greeneville, he gets called into a game with the based loaded for his first game back. Easy, breezy ... a quick strikeout and he saved Jorge Perez' bacon. That, to me, is what a good relief pitcher does best so with no further ado I give you ....
