IBAF 21U BASEBALL WORLD CUP

Australia 10, Netherlands 1

W- Joshua Guyer (1-0)
L- Entwin Reigina (0-1)

Australia HRs by Astros players: None.

The Aussies ran wild over the Dutch as a 5-run 5th ignited their big day. Jared Cruz appeared as a pinch-hitter in the 9th and hit an RBI groundout. 

Tomorrow, Team Australia will take on Nicaragua at 12:30 Taiwan time, or 10:30 PM tonight in Houston.

ARIZONA FALL LEAGUE

Peoria 5, Salt River 4

W- Brandon Cunniff (2-0)
L- Tyson Perez (0-1)

The Rafters tied the game at 4 with 2 runs in the top of the 9th.... only to walk off with the loss after Jacob Wilson hit an RBI single off of Tyson Perez with 1 out in the bottom of the inning.

Andrew Aplin went 0-4 with a walk and a strikeout, while Rio Ruiz was 0-3 with a walk, a strikeout, and a run scored. Perez threw a 1-2-3 8th, striking out 1, and then in the 9th, he allowed a leadoff double to Bubba Starling. He got 1 out by getting Daniel Castro to pop out on a bunt attempt, but Wilson got to him with the game-winner.

Both teams will play again this afternoon at Salt River Fields. First pitch is at 12:35 Mountain.

LIGA VENEZOLANA DE BÉISBOL PROFESIONAL

Magallanes 4, Caracas 3

W- Carlos Quevedo (1-1)
L- Yoimer Camacho (0-2)

Caracas HRs by Astros players: L.J. Hoes (1, 3-run in 3rd)

Jerome Hoes' 3-run shot in the 3rd constituted the only runs for Caracas. He finished 2-6. 

David Martinez, currently a free agent, got the start for Magallanes and that 3-run shot ended up yielding the only runs that he would allow in 5 innings. He allowed 2 other hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. 

Caracas will host La Guaira this afternoon at 4:00 Venezuelan time. Magallanes will welcome Bravos, who are making the trip from the island of Margarita, in the late game on the LVBP slate. First pitch is at 8:00 Venezuelan time.

Zulia 12, Bravos 7

W- Tim Dillard (3-1)
L- Matt Nevarez (2-1)

Bravos HRs by Astros players: None. 

Carlos Perdomo, who is also currently a free agent, entered the game for Bravos as a defensive replacement in the 6th and struck out in his only at-bat.

Bravos will travel to the mainland to take on Magallanes at 8:00 Venezuelan time.

LIGA PARALELA

From Thursday: Detroit 18, Caribes 2

W- Angel Vasquez (1-1)
L- Edwin Villarroel (2-1)

Villarroel was knocked around in his 1.2 innings, as he allowed 9 runs (3 earned) on 7 hits and walked 3.

LIDOM

Licey 7, Toros 6

W- Mitch Atkins (1-2)
L- Chris Leroux (0-1)

Toros HRs by Astros players: None. 

Teoscar Hernandez went 1-5 with an RBI single in the 6th for Toros.

Toros will host Escogido this evening. First pitch is at 5:00 Atlantic.

Estrellas 3, Águilas 1

W- Radhames Liz (3-0)
L- Frank Batista (1-1)

Águilas HRs by Astros players: None.

Jonathan Villar went 1-3 for Águilas. Estrellas scored 3 in the first, which turned out to be enough for them.

Águilas will now travel to the capital to take on Licey. First pitch is at 5:00 Atlantic.

LIGA MEXICANA DEL PACÍFICO

Mexicali 6, Jalisco 5

W- Francisco Gil (1-0)
L- Carlos Vazquez (1-1)
S- Francisco Rodriguez (3)

Jalisco HRs by Astros players: None.

Leo Heras had a nice night as he hit a double in 3 at-bats, drew 2 walks, scored a run, and stole a base (5). 

Both teams will continue their weekend series tonight at 6:00 Pacific.

LIGA DE BÉISBOL PROFESIONAL ROBERTO CLEMENTE

Rain washed out the slate in Puerto Rico yesterday. According to this article from the LBPRC website, Carolina and Caguas will be rescheduled for Monday, while the Santurce and Mayagüez game will be made up on December 15.
