The Astros announced last week that the Manager for the Greeneville Astros would be Lamarr Rogers, a long-time minor league player and independent league coach. The full story on Rogers is here.
Also, the Astros picked up two minor league free agents this month:
RHP Robert Stock: Stock was drafted by the Cardinals in the second round in 2009 and was converted from catcher, making it as far as the Advanced A Florida League prior to his release by St. Louis.
RHP Christian Powell: Powell was originally drafted by the Twins in the 8th round in 2012 and made it as far as the Low A Midwest League prior to his release in May of last year.
In addition, I had not previously posted this, but former Astro RHP Ross Seaton signed with the Tigers in February as a minor league free agent.
And finally, if you missed this from yesterday, there were several minor league player releases as well.
