Alaniz was born June 14, 1991 in McAllen, Texas, and signed with Houston as a non-drafted free agent in August 2009. He was just recently activated from the restricted list and was assigned to the AA Corpus Christi Hooks team.
C Brian Pena (21)
Pena was born June 4, 1994 in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and was signed by Houston in March 2012. He played the 2014 season with the Gulf Coast League Astros and is likely awaiting assignment to a short season club.
