Jordan Jankowski did not allow a home run in 62.1 innings pitched during the regular season, but El Paso's Hunter Renfroe hit him up for a one-run home run in last night's game. And Nolan Fontana, who hit only three home runs all season, cranked out a two-run shot to take the lead in the 4th last night. That's baseball.Friday: Fresno at El Paso at 8:05 CST (RHP Mark Appel vs. LHP Robbie Erlin)

Colin Moran goes yard! His solo shot down the RF line puts the #cchooks on board. 2-1 Midland T5
— Corpus Christi Hooks (@cchooks) September 11, 2015
The Hooks trailed from the second inning on until a Jio Mier triple drove in Jon Kemmer to tie things up in the bottom of the seventh and that's where things stood until the top of the ninth happened. The RockHounds scored seven times in that half frame, including a Renato Nunez grand slam. In the bottom of the frame, Conrad Gregor hit a solo home run shortly after Jio Mier and Manager Rodney Linares took umbrage with some of the officiating in the game and were asked to take their opinions elsewhere. And that was that as the series is headed to Midland.Friday: Corpus Christi at Midland at 7:00 CST (RHP Kyle Westwood vs. RHP Chris Jensen)

— Jason Schwartz (@jasondschwartz) September 11, 2015
Game 1 saw troubles with the lights. Game 2 saw trouble with the streaming broadcast. What will today bring? The 'Hawks trailed from the second inning on, but a big three-run seventh put them in striking distance. Unfortunately a ninth inning rally fell just short and the series is headed to High Desert for the deciding game.

— Chris Chenes (@ChrisChenes) September 11, 2015
The Yankees scored four in the first and three more in the third before the 'Cats even got their first hit in the fourth. By then the hill was too steep and Hector Roa's ninth inning two-run homer barely put a dent in the Yankee's lead.
