For the first day since April 9th, there is no Astros minor league game action to report, but that doesn't mean that there isn't any news!
TWEET OF THE DAY
Yes, Congratulations to 3B/1B Matt Duffy who will be joining the Astros on the road in Arlington today. In case you missed it from yesterday, WTHB Contributor Jeremy Schmidt took a look at how Duffy got here in his latest installment of "Before They Were Astros."We'll miss this guy, but we couldn't be happier for him. Congrats to @meduffy13 on your first major league call-up! pic.twitter.com/driv7I96B0— Fresno Grizzlies (@FresnoGrizzlies) September 13, 2015
There have been no other announced transactions the last couple of days, but a birdie told me that RHP Chris Devenski may be on his way to Fresno to join the Grizzlies as they pursue their first League Championship in the history of the franchise. The Astros made several such moves for other playoff runs in the system, but most were not official as the players were presumably waiting in the wings in case of injury and the like.
Come back later today for the first installment of WTHB's Season in Review series on each of the Astros minor league teams. First up will be the two DSL teams.
