Playoff Record:
Won 2-1 in best-of-three semifinals over Kingsport
Won 2-1 in the best-of-three League Championship Series over Princeton

Tuesday's Game: Greeneville 8 over Princeton 7

It was another gutsy performance for the Appy Astros as the lead changed NUMEROUS times in the deciding game on Tuesday night. Kyle Tucker's three-run home run in the third inning gave the Astros the lead, but it was short lived. They re-took the lead in the sixth inning, scoring three runs in that frame to go up 8-6. Princeton came back with another run in the bottom of that frame to make it 8-7. Then Edgardo Sandoval pitched brilliantly over the final three frames, allowing only two Princeton runners to reach base via walks, inducing a double play and collecting five of his seven strikeouts. He allowed only one hit, a solo home run, over his four innings of work. Congratulations go out to all the players, coaches and staff of the Greeneville Astros, including first year Greeneville manager Lamarr Rodgers.
