NEWS AND LINKS
It has been a quiet week on the Astros minor league front. The Astros announced a few changes to their minor league coaching and development staffs which I weighed on (very) briefly here. When I get a chance, I'll update the full coaching staff list with what we now know.
RHP Chris Devenski and OF Jon Kemmer will be among those honored at this Thursday's South Texas Winter Baseball Banquet as Corpus Christi Hooks Pitcher and Player of the Year for 2015. Dave Clark, former Hooks Manager and former Astros third base coach, will be a special guest.
Rachel Balkovec, Astros minor league Strength and Conditioning Coordinator, shares her philosophy on coaching. Spoiler alert: That big muscle in a player's head is as (or more) important than the rest of them.
Chris Carter signed with the Brewers last week.
