Quad Cities River Bandits: Early Season Results

We are now 17 games in to the Quad Cities River Bandits season. Let's see where things stand!

The Banditos are currently 9-8 and in a 3-way tie for second place (along with Cedar Rapids-MIN and Wisconsin-MIL), two games behind the Kane County Cougars, an Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate. Only four games separate the first place team and the last place team in the eight-team division. Thanks to a recent offensive onslaught, the Quad Cities crew are sporting a +22 run differential.

Here's how Quad Cities ranks in the 16-team Low A Midwest League in select categories:

3rd in On-Base Percentage: .322
1st in Slugging Percentage: .448

T3rd in Home Runs Allowed: 20
T13th in Walks: 46
T8th in Strikeouts: 153

As you can see, the River Bandits have had a good balance of offense and pitching. Let's look at the individual contributions that have led to their early success.
