Astros Farm Report: 5-12

A rough week for the Astros affiliates plus lots of roster moves ...

STANDINGS

Out farmhands have been scuffling this last week, going 6-20 over the last week. (My compliments and my sympathies to Dustin who keeps cranking out the recaps. Writing about losses isn't fun and is often messy. Nevertheless, he persists!)

Fresno went 2-4 over the last week, fell two games further behind in the standings and is only a half game in front of the last place team in their division. Corpus Christi's story is much worse. They are currently on a nine-game losing streak and have dropped from first place to third place. The good news is that they are still a game in front of Frisco, a Rangers affiliate. Despite going 1-5 over the last week, Buies Creek remains in first place but are only one game ahead of Myrtle Beach (Cubs). Quad Cities remains in third place, one and a half games back, just as they were this time last week, despite compiling a 2-5 record over that period.

AAA Fresno 3rd 14-20 .412 8.0GB W1
AA Corpus 3rd 15-18 .455 4.0GB L9
HiA Buies Creek 1st 20-14 .588 0.0GB L3
LoA Quad Cities 3rd 16-16 .500 1.5GB L2

ROSTER MOVES/TRANSACTIONS

Note: The Astros have been moving players back and forth to either Tri-City or Extended Spring Training as a means of managing their rosters. I won't be including those moves in this list if I believe that they are only being made on paper for roster management.
