STANDINGS

Collectively, all of the Astros MiLB affiliates went 21-16 over the last week. It's been a mixed bag for the full season affiliates with Corpus Christi having the best week (5-3) and getting out to a 2-1 start in the second half while Fresno (3-3 over the past week) has fallen yet another game further behind Reno in the standings. The River Bandits, who fell short in their efforts to win a first half wild card entry into the playoffs, and Buies Creek have both collected an L in their first games of the second half.

As to the short season teams, the DSL Blue team has raised its fortunes the most, going 4-1 over the last week and claiming first place while their Orange brethren have treaded water in the past week and remain tied for fourth place in their division. After getting rained out in their first game and falling in their second, Tri-City took the next two and are in an early tie for first as is the case with Greeneville, with the rookie level team winning their first and only game thus far. The GCL Astros will join in the fun with their first game scheduled for Monday.
