Round Rock and Oklahoma City was postponed

Due to rain. This game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday.

The Drillers took this game and the series thanks to a four-run 8th inning.

Brandon Bailey allowed two hits, walked one, and struck out six over five shutout innings. The Corpus bullpen... didn't fare as well. Kit Scheetz went 2.1 innings and allowed three runs (one inherited runner charged to him) on two hits, one of which was a solo home run, walked one, and struck out three. Brendan Feldmann got the last 1.2 innings and he allowed two runs on three hits, walked one, and struck out two. One of those three hits that Feldmann allowed was a go-ahead three-run home run in the 8th inning.

Ronnie Dawson scored the first run of the evening when Granden Goetzman grounded into a double play in the 1st inning. Abraham Toro ripped an RBI double in the 3rd and Chas McCormick sent a ball right back up the middle for an RBI single in the 4th. McCormick scored the Hooks' final run of the evening on an RBI single from Aníbal Sierra in the 6th inning. He and Josh Rojas both finished 2-4; Rojas stole a couple of bases, giving him ten on the season.

The Hooks will now head to Springdale, Arkansas to begin a three-game series with Northwest Arkansas on Wednesday.

Fayetteville 4, Lynchburg 0

Fayetteville home runs: None.

The Woodpeckers turned in the first shutout in the brief history of SEGRA Stadium on Monday as three pitchers combined to keep the Hillcats off the scoreboard.

Chad Donato allowed four hits and struck out three over six innings. César Rosado struck out one in a 1-2-3 7th inning, and Jacob Billingsley completed the shutout by allowing two hits, walking two, and striking out four over the final two innings.

Alfredo Angarita opened the scoring with an RBI single in the 2nd inning and one batter later, Bryan de la Cruz ripped a two-run double. Corey Julks finished 2-4 with an RBI single in the 6th. Colton Shaver went 3-3 and scored a couple of runs.

Shawn Dubin takes on Justin Garza in game two of this series. First pitch is at 7:00 Eastern.

Quad Cities was off

The River Bandits are in the Cleveland area as they'll start a three-game series with Lake County at 6:30 Eastern. Austin Hansen will be on the mound for game one.
